Who are we meeting today?
Canadian brand Epiphany is an arousal serum uniquely formulated to make sexual encounters more satisfying for women and vulva-havers, whether in partnered or solo sex.
We’re chatting with Kelly Pigeon the founder who developed Epiphany to fill a gap in the market. Sex-focused brands were really focused on toys and topical lubes over arousal serums. She worked over years with cosmetic research chemist Natalie Cox to develop a product that would help make the statistically hard-to-reach female orgasm more achievable.
So how did Epiphany come to be and what inspired the product?
KELLY: It started with my own date night, when I experimented with an arousal serum that changed the game for my sex life. When I talked to girlfriends about it, it struck me that no one had even heard of arousal serums — I think they’re such an incredible way to make your natural touch so much more electric, and puts foreplay with the clit at the centre of a sexual encounter.
I sought out to make the very best clit arousal serum on the market, and after over a year of development, and dozens of formulations, I truly think we’ve done it! It’s not just a warming lube, in fact, it’s not a lube at all. It’s a specially formulated arousal serum that gives you a gentle tingly sensation in all the right places.
The concept of the orgasm gap has been discussed extensively, especially as we try to advocate for equal sexual expression, and just an equal good time for everyone.

How does Epiphany’s arousal serum and brand in general address this, and what makes it stand out from other products on the market?
KP: It’s so interesting, in some ways I think straight men are more interested in pleasing their partners than we realize: almost ¼ of orders for Epiphany Arousal Serum are made by men!
On the other hand, there’s new research from the Urology Foundation in the UK that shows 59% of Gen-Z men don’t even know where the clit is. What I’ve heard from a number of my customers is that this serum sparks new conversations about what each partner likes in bed, which could start with just where the clit is, what it does, and why it’s so important.
We know that 96% of women report their most reliable route to orgasm is with clitoral stimulation alone or paired with penetration – only 4% climax with penetration alone. So making sex about more than just penetration is a pretty important part of the puzzle when we talk about closing the pleasure gap! Extend that foreplay, tell your partner what you like, and experiment with new things (like an arousal serum) until you find what works for your body.
What role do arousal serums play in enhancing sexual satisfaction for vulva-havers, and why are they an important tool in sexual wellness?
KP: Finding the right tools to elevate your sexual wellness is just as important as finding the right tools and techniques for your overall wellness. Sexual health impacts stress, sleep, pain, relationships, and more.
I personally find arousal serums are incredible for enhancing pleasure and improving my own sexual wellness, but everybody is different and it’s most important to find what works for you.
What about the stigma of ‘not needing‘ “help” when engaging in sexual experiences with a partner?
KP: There’s still this lingering machismo in our culture where people think they shouldn’t “need” any sort of toys or extras to have good sex. But here’s the real real, gentlemen: when your partner is at a 9/10 on the pleasure scale, I guarantee you’ll have an even better time too. Just try it.

With increasing awareness about sexual health and the effects of Perimenopause, Endometriosis, PCOS, etc. in vulva-havers of all ages,Epiphany addresses the needs of those experiencing hormonal changes by providing relief & enhancing their experiences.
KP: Honestly, the amount of innovation in this space is really heartening.
One of our favourite brand partners is an innovative online platform called Kindra. They’re really transforming vaginal health and sexual wellness for women navigating their changing bodies and profound hormonal shifts. They work with best-in- class physicians to deliver solutions you can trust. We’re super excited that Epiphany Clit Arousal Serum is one of Kindra’s vetted, recommended, and curated products.
There are so many reasons a person can struggle to orgasm: all the conditions [mentioned], mental blocks, or even medication for anxiety and depression that often come with side effects that impact sexual health.
Whatever the reason, Epiphany works in harmony with your body’s natural responses, igniting a warm, tingly sensation that elevates pleasure and heightens awareness. Just a drop or two gently stimulates our most sensitive nerve endings for amazing, next level orgasms.
We’ve learned so much already! To finish it off, what is your ideal date night – in or out of the house!
KP: One of my favourite date spots in the city is Greta Solomon’s in Leslieville (Toronto). I recently moved to the Beaches, and I’ve been so pleasantly surprised at the fantastic food scene in the East end!
After dinner, I love to embrace Halloween season with a scary movie, cuddled up on the couch, and then who knows… maybe I even get lucky and end the night with an Epiphany 🙂
Epiphany is available in so many spots within Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton and Red Deer, Vancouver, and even New York City! Find them here.
