Here’s Who Made the 2025 MICHELIN Guide in Toronto & Beyond

michelin guide toronto region

The annual Michelin Guide ceremony is basically the Oscars of the Toronto food scene; a night where the city’s culinary stars shine brightest and the dining world pauses to see who takes home the most coveted honours.

This year brought a mix of surprises, upsets, and well-deserved wins. The biggest shock? Sushi Masaki Saito, historically Canada’s most-awarded restaurant, had one of its Two Stars removed, bringing it down to a One Star. On the other hand, Pearl Morissette in Lincoln claimed the crown, earning Two Stars plus a Green Star this year.

The 2025 MICHELIN Guide Toronto & Region also welcomed a brand-new One Star restaurant and continued to honour standouts across Bib Gourmands, Green Stars, and Recommended picks.

Here’s how the stars (and more) shook out this year:

Two Stars

Reserved for restaurants that deliver exceptional cuisine worth a detour, the Two Star category represents the very top tier of the Toronto & Region dining scene.

Restaurant Pearl Morissette is officially been awarded Two Michelin Stars, and is the only restaurant currently holding the double star designation in this region.

One Star

One Star restaurants are recognized as very good in their category, consistently serving dishes that are elevated, flavourful, and beautifully executed.

Some new movements in this category for 2025 include the addition of aKin in Toronto, receiving One Star, and Sushi Masaki Saito in Toronto receiving One Star, from their previous Two.

These restaurants have also retained their One Michelin Star in and around Toronto:

Bib Gourmands

Bib Gourmand picks highlight restaurants that deliver incredible food at a great value, making them perfect for casual-yet-delicious date nights.

Bib Gourmands that were announced at the 2025 reception include Conejo Negro and Rasa in Toronto, Guru Lukshmi in Mississauga, and Berkeley North in Hamilton.

Plus, previous awardees remain on the list like:

Green Stars

The Green Star shines a light on restaurants that are leading the way in sustainability, celebrating kitchens that are as thoughtful about the planet as they are about their plates.

Restaurant Pearl Morissette was awarded a Green Star in addition to their Two Stars designation; and the White Lily Diner in Toronto has a Green Star.
